The Patio RestaurantThe Patio Restaurant, located in Vero Beach, Florida, is a full-service restaurant featuring both inside and outdoor dining.

One of the oldest eating establishments in Florida, the Patio was originally opened as an ice cream parlor in 1945.  Through the years the facilities have been expanded to present size.  Most of the wrought iron grill work and the tiles, seen in the floor and elsewhere in the building, are hundreds of years old.  They were brought over from Spain and France by Addison Mizner, the world famous architect who was responsible for much of the beauty of Palm Beach and its fabulous mansions.

The tile bar in the main dining room was brought intact from Spain and the tiles are the coat of arms of the Spanish Royal Family.  The hand carved wooden panels above the bar in the cocktail lounge are sections of bridal chests carved by the Druze tribe in the mountains of Lebanon.

The wall below them is made of garage doors from the Statebury estate in Palm Beach.  The east facade is part of a ceiling from the same estate. The lighting fixtures graced Rockefeller, Mitzer, Dodge and Statesbury mansions. The stained glass mantle on the west ceiling if the red room, once covered the ballroom entrance to the Traymore hotel in Atlantic City, now Resorts International.

In 1993 Patio Bar was added for outdoor service. Private rooms are available for parties of 20 to 60 for both lunch & dinner. We would be happy to help you with your parties, rehersal dinners and special events. Please give us a call at 772-567-7215
