Orlando Fishing Charters Finding Fort Pierce

December 16th, 2007 · No Comments

Many online resources for fishing charters in the Orlando area, are suddenly expanding their listings to include Treasure Coast fishing charter boats like those running out of the Fort Pierce Marina and more anglers than ever are making the hour plus drive to Fort Pierce instead of chartering boats out of Cape Canaveral. Why the extra drive time?

“Even though Orlando is much closer to Cape Canaveral, Fort Pierce is closer to the fish. The shorter run offshore takes less time than the extra miles from Orlando.”, one area Captain confided.

With rising fuel costs hitting everyone hard, the ride down the Florida Turnpike or I-95 is cheaper, faster, and leads to more better fishing time - in some cases even on a half-day charter versus a full day - than a trip out of Cape Canaveral.

So if you’re planning a trip to Orlando with your family to Disney or are going to be in town on business and want to make a day of battling the biggest and best fish Florida has to offer, take a look at the OHI Directory of Fishing Charters here on the Treasure Coast to plan your fishing charter.
