1. Moore‘s Creek Boat Ramp
From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, in Fort Pierce, go east on Seaway Drive to Indian River Drive (just before the south bridge). Turn right at Indian River Drive and go three block until you see the Manatee center for the entrance to the ramp. This ramp is closed from Nov. 15th until March 31, when the manatees are in Moore‘s Creek. This area has 6 ramps and pretty good parking. This is an excellent place for those looking to fish south of the bridges or head to the inlet. Be careful when heading to the channel stay within makers. Don‘t head straight to the bridge especially at low tide, a large sandbar is in the way.
2. South Causeway Island Ramp
From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, go east on Seaway Drive over the North Causeway. After crossing the bridge turn left into the park. It has four sandy ramps and has been rebuilt after the hurricanes. It a little shallow at low tide and has a fast ripping tides make this ramp dangerous. This is the closest ramp to the inlet. Good place for jet skis and smaller boats but will accommodate larger boats. Large grass area for parking.
3. South Bridge Boat Ramp
From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, in Fort Pierce, go east on Seaway Drive to Indian River Drive (just before the south bridge). Turn left at Indian River Drive and a quick right at the entrance to the ramp. There are two steep, narrow and deep ramps with 12 parking spaces. There is a large grass lot just around the restaurant for additional parking. Bait shops are close. This is the quickest shot to the inlet for offshore boats to the inlet. There is a great cleaning station accompanied by hungry Pelicans.
4. Jaycee Park Ramp
From U.S1 turn on Seaway drive follow it until you reach U.S. A1A head south 1.2 miles. Turn right toward the Indian River side of A1A. This ramp is the best ramp for fishing the south part of the Indian River. The park has 4 ramps, a sandy beach for Kayaks. There is no dangerous current and there is a deep channel to the ICW. There is a picnic area and restrooms. This is a great place for family outings.
5. Stan Blum Memorial Boat Launch
From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, go east on North Beach Causeway Drive over the Causeway. Continue for about two miles crossing over Little Jim Bridge. After crossing the bridge turn right into the park. It has four single wide ramps and docks to park while waiting to get your trailer. This is a new floating concrete ramp. Plenty of parking but plan to get there early on weekends. This is the more popular ramp for those larger trailered boats looking to go offshore. You can launch your offshore boats here than head south to the inlet, turn east once out of the cut it‘s a straight shot to the inlet. There is no restroom but there is a freshwater wash down station on the way out. This is the easiest ramp for larger boats in the area.
6. North Causeway Island
From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, go east on North Beach Causeway Drive. After crossing the north turn left in to the park. The area has three double wide ramps and docks to park while waiting to get your trailer. A great place to start if you plan on fishing the northern part of the Indian River. Plenty of parking but plan to get there early on weekends. The later you put in the more difficult it is to find a parking place. This is the more popluar ramp for pleasure boater and river fisherman. You can lanuch your offshore boats here and go under Little Jim bridge but be sure to have your downriggers down. There is a restroom and picnic tables but no cleaning station. This is my favorite ramp and have had few problems here.
